If so many homes are owned free-and-clear, what would motivate them to sell at below market prices?

In answer to Joston, one big reason homes with no mortgage are sold below market is due to probate or inheritance. There are plenty of opportunities to find great deals from children of parents who have passed and left them the house. Most want a quick sale to get the money without the hassle of listing the property.
I watch and it was very good ,the best i recived in a long time tell me more,I’m loveing this Tip 3 yes.

If I wanted to post a tax lien on a house how can I /where can I find out if there is an IRS lien on the property so that I can avoid those property’s cause I don’t get caught up in the IRS end of buying and how can I obtain a tax lien list so that I can start looking for affordable houses to put lien’s on I have found many on the county clerk’s maps and I have the parcel numbers but you can’t just pick a house that has unpaid back taxes and start paying them can you?

This is good news. It is matching up with what I am finding in my area. I personally have NOT had too much trouble finding FSBO homes with equity. The numbers are encouraging.

I am new to real estate but, it does make sense that there are houses with equity. I would think the houses in probate would be number one, because maybe the surviving family doesn’t want the house, they want the money from the house.
